“Do not be afraid, for I am with you, don’t be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with my victorious right hand.

– Isaiah 41:10

The word fear is now engraved in our mind with bold and capitalized letters. This feeling of dread is brought on by the invisible adversary called Covid-19 (aka Coronavirus).

Due to the media, we know ample information on how this virus spreads and what precautions to take to stay safe. We know the damage that it can do to our family, society, and nation. With one touch, one breath, we know that Coronavirus may cause isolation, depression, and take a life. So the world has decided to limit socialization and promote safe hygienic routines.

But no matter how thorough our hygienic routines are, it’s impossible to protect ourselves from everything and everyone we come into contact with. As functional beings of society, we should keep doing our part to reduce the spread of the virus and to stay healthy.

The important thing to remind ourselves is that under God’s wings we are fully protected; we need not fear any visible or invisible threat. It’s hard to stay strong when the voices of doom are resonating in our heads, but we can get rid of them with songs of praise, Scriptures of encouragement, and prayers. The more we practice chasing away those voices with God’s promising words, the stronger we will be. Let’s all train ourselves to trust God because His words never fail.
